Here am sharing best free photo editing software which I think really worth installing and less resource hungry only eats up few MB of your space .

Pain.NET one of my favorite photo editing software ,its simple yet powerful with lots of tools and effects.Pain.NET uses tabbed user interface so its very easy to switch between different images .in performance wise Pain.NET is developed to work in netbooks with a power-conscious Atom CPU, you can expect Paint.NET to start up quickly and be responsive to every mouse click.
Comes with Powerful Tools
Paint.NET includes simple tools for drawing shapes, including an easy-to-use curve tool for drawing splines or Bezier curves. The Gradient tool, Other powerful tools include the Magic Wand for selecting regions of similar color, and the Clone Stamp for copying or erasing portions of an image. There is also a simple text editor, a tool for zooming, and a Recolor tool.

Just another great photo editing software with cool features. one of the best feature I like ,“Automate\ batch” which helps to batch resizing or compressing of images (really helps in uploading bulk photos to social networking sites ,check my tutorial here)

Out of these three PhotoFiltre is my favorite. Small tools like these are helpful for some quick image editing works.
believe me, am using these tools for more than 2 years ,and really full fills all my editing needs
