Here am sharing how to connect Samsung Corby ( s3653 ) (same method for other Samsung models too)
download the latest version of Samsung’s “NEW PC STUDIO ” software
NEW PC STUDIO download link
before connecting your phone to Pc ,check this settings in your phone first!
set phone’s PC connection settings to “Samsung PC studio”
SETTING=>PHONE SETTINGS=>PC CONNECTIONS =>SAMSUNG PC STUDIO
samsung new PC studio (NPS)
Note: steps may differ in latest versions of Samsung pc studio.
step 1
double-click on PC studio icon , select widget settings,
add internet connector widget (earth icon) from add or delete widget
step 2
select internet connector widget from main window (press” > icon” to move it)
step 3
select connection settings
NOTE: here am using Tata docomo GPRS SETTINGS ,you can use other network providers settings to (only APN and DIALLING NUMBER is needed)
- give connection name for new connection (example : docomo)
- select country other
- service provider other
- APN : TATA.DOCOMO.INTERNET (you can get APN names of other networks here)
- dialing number : *99# (dialling number is same for most of the network providers )
Save settings and connect it
Update : For latest samsung phone models try samsung kies to connect your phone and use usb tethering in phone settings.

check gprs plan is activated ,(eg.rs 48 plan ,) must have balance above rs 1

I want to connect samsung monte (GT-S5620) to my laptop to use my cell as modem.
My Gprs is working fine in Monte. I want to use it with laptop. Please advice how to configure that. I have downloaded and installed the Sansung New PC Studio in my laptop.
But it is not detecting my Samsung Monte. I checked the settings–> phone settings–> PC connections. Here only four options are available i.e. samsung kies, Media Player, Mass storage and Ask on connection. Samsung PC Studio option is absent here. Please guide me.

I m using Samsung GT c6112 with tata docomo GPRS internet.
Whenever i connect to internet with this mobile , it gives me error. “OS Error Message. The remote computer did not respond. To make sure the serve can be reached,ping the remote computer”.
How to resolve this ??
But when i use Airtel GPRS with the same mobile, it connects very easily.
i m Windows7 operating system.
Download the latest PC studio for this configuration,, but unable to connect internet with docomo.
Pls give some solution and i m waiting…
delete any previously created connections settings with docomo (create a fresh connection settings)
check you have balance above rs.1
APN: TATA.DOCOMO.INTERNET (in capital letters)
dialing number: *99#

13kbps is normal ,better switch your number to docomo, it provides better speed that is ,20~25kbps,
to increase speed open all windows in your room or move your mobile(modem) nearer to window side ,never use Bluetooth connection (it sucks) .data cable is better

first you have to activate the 3g plan , then you have to add APN for the bsnl 3g in Samsung PC studio settings

I have a Samsung Monte(GT-S5620) with TATA DOCOMO GRPS internet connection.
Sometimes i got connected with my phone and it shows errors “Modem is could not respond” , “RAS connection error” and also automatically disconnected from the network. plz give me the solution waitin ur reply
check connection settings are correct (APN, dialling number etc..)

Whenever i connect nps with gt-c3222 it shows phone model as gt-c3222(1) and sometimes gt-c3222(2) .when nps shows my phone model as gt-c3222 ,then only i am able to connect.sometimes it wont even connect that with an error “.. ..Ping remote computer….” what should i do reinstall nps?i had tried all connection clear.also tel me that is there any latest version than 1.5.1.10095?
better download a new version of NPS (not sure about the current version) because it may contain the latest drivers for your phone

I have galaxy pop GT S5570 and I want to connect use this device as a modem. I had tried many times to connet but I couldn’t. I had installed kies and tried but I got an error that your hardware cannot be installed because of missing some important entry .inf file.
I have also checked device manager and found that drivers are not installed. I tried many times to install but I got same error.
Please tell what to do?

unless you don’t have a Bluetooth 3.0 mobile and dongle ,you don’t get the 3g speed in Bluetooth connection , wired connection(data cable) is better in speed and reliability

hi… i hav samsung monte s5620 with me. initially i used kies software for internt connection to my laptop. But it does not recognise… i uninstalled kies and again installed it with usb drivers.
then as i am using tata docomo gprs net card, there is no tata docomo option in internet connection option in kies software..
using OTHERS in country option, OTHERS in network option and phone number as *99**1*1# and the internet was successfuly connected…..

i am using samsung GT-S5222(dual sim), i downloaded latest kies ,NPS and its installed my pc .kies detecting my mobile,but NPS says unauthorised mobile connected. i want to connect to the internet.i tried with ICM(internet connection manager).that also not detecting my phone. many times i uninstalled and tried again. i am facing same problem.i tried what ever you said above,

make sure you are using the latest version of NPS (your phone drivers may not be present in old version) ,if all these fails use Ubuntu or Linux mint (no drivers required just plug and connect)

yes it is Linux operating system ,download the cd image from here http://www.linuxmint.com/edition.php?id=95 , you can burn it to a dvd and can use it with out installing (live cd)

to connect Samsung galaxy y android phone , first turn on gprs (packet data) in your phone (phone Settings-> Wireless and-Mobile network- >Enable packet data.)
install Samsung kies http://www.samsung.com/in/support/usefulsoftware/KIES/JSP (restart your pc)
go to phone Settings-> Application -> Development-> USB debugging (enable ).
Connect your phone to PC.
again in phone Settings-> Wireless and tethering-usb tethering enable it.
